If you wish to see the doctor or the nurse please contact the reception to make an appointment. Every effort will be made to see you as soon as possible, at a convenient time.
For problems requiring urgent attention a number of urgent-same day appointments are reserved each day. These are short 5 minute appointments and should not be used for multiple or long term issues. To ensure best use of these appointments, you will be asked the nature of your problem.
When arriving at the surgery ensure that you let reception staff know of your arrival so that the doctor you are seeing is aware that you are waiting. Always arrive about 5 minutes before your appointment is due. Please remember to let us know if you are going to be late or not attend your appointment as we may then be able to offer your appointment to another patient.
It is not always necessary to see a doctor in person for advice and each day we reserve appointment slots for telephone consultation.
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late...........
YOU WILL NOT BE SEEN
This is calculated:
5 minutes late + 5 minutes grace = 10 minutes. This is to ensure best access for all our patients.
If you are housebound or too ill to come to the surgery a doctor will visit you at home. If possible please inform the surgery before 10:30 in the morning that a visit is required.
In order to give the correct length of appointment, you will be asked the reason for your request, for example some breathing checks and diabetes reviews will require double appointments.
To ensure the correct appointment length is allocated it is not possible to book nursing appointments on-line.
